Group tours can be scheduled for groups of 10 or more. Tours must be requested at least two weeks in advance of the visit date. Group tours may be scheduled up to three months in advance.
For docent-guided tours of the permanent collection, there is a suggested donation of $25 per docent.
The use of pencils is permitted in the galleries. Pens, markers, paint, charcoal, and pastels are not permitted.
BACKPACKS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Bags 13 x 17 x 6 inches or larger are also not permitted in the galleries. Please check all bags, backpacks, and briefcases 13 x 17 x 6 inches or larger, umbrellas, and other bulky items. All items are subject to inspection, and the museum reserves the right to decide what should be checked. Nothing is permitted to be carried on one’s back.
Children 14 years of age and younger should be under adult supervision.
Food and beverages cannot be brought into the museum. Food, beverages, and gum chewing are not permitted in the galleries, library, auditorium, or lecture halls.
Provenance Café is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A limited selection of hot food items are available during select open hours. The café is closed on Mondays.
Provenance Restaurant is open from Tuesday to Saturday. The restaurant’s dining room is open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the bar and lounge are open from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
The museum has its own parking garage, accessible from Jeptha Drive. The garage is conveniently located within a few minutes’ walking distance to all major University Circle institutions, including the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Cleveland Botanical Garden, Western Reserve Historical Society, Case Western Reserve University, and Severance Hall. Designated accessible parking, noted with signage, is available on the top level of the parking garage, a short distance from the museum’s north entrance, and on level P2 in the parking garage, which connects to the lower level of the museum through an interior tunnel.
Parking fees for the museum’s garage may be paid in advance during the ticket reservation process. Visitors can also pay on-site at the garage entrance using a credit card. The museum highly recommends paying parking fees in advance.*
